Asplenium trichomanes, commonly known as Maidenhair Spleenwort, is a fern found in south Western Australia
Conservation status:
Not Threatened in Wetsern Australia. Known to be Vulnerable under the Threatened Species act 1999
Diagnostic description:
Terrestrial fern. Rhizome short standing upright or short creeping and rarely long creeping. Fronds of uniform shape and size, not divided into leaflets. Hairs and clathrate scales are present on the Rhizomes and fronds. Sori are located elongate along the veins, away from the lamina margins.
Distribution:
A.trichomanes is distributed all over the world. The main areas that this species is found in Western Australia is Busselton and Albany.
