Microlepia  

Microlepia is a genus of ferns found around the world. The name Microlepia is derived from the Greek words mikros meaning small, and lepis meaning scale. This name relates to the small cuplike indusia (spore covering) of the genus (FloraBase, [n.d.]).There are approximately 47 known species worldwide however other estimations are between 45-70 species (Nakato & Ebihara, 2011).
